about

Joining the knockout second season of Future Bounce’s club series, Blck Mamba makes her mark with her debut release ‘What u gonna do / Baby got juice’ - out on the 5th November.

After blessing the dancefloors as a DJ for a couple of years, Blck Mamba has developed a particular taste for not-so-serious club music, drawing towards quirky edits, bizarre blends, and sample-heavy rhythms. Now the Belgian-Nigerian artist puts her own spin on the genre with two dark, no-nonsense club bangers featuring scene favourites Rouge and Magugu.

A-side ‘What u gonna do’ features a variety of Mamba drums, cowbells, and out-of-context synths with an added 4x4 kick drum underneath to make it easy to dance to. On the flip, ‘Baby got juice’ sees Blck Mamba and Magugu nod to grime influences with a deep and unpredictable rhythm - all you need to move your feet.

Based in Brussels, Blck Mamba debuted on national radio station Studio Brussel with a hip hop show called Hooray. Quickly expanding beyond the label, she landed a self-titled show championing the latest grime and trap releases as well as guesting on other platforms such as BBC Radio 1 Asisan Network, Kiosk Radio, Cashmere and more. In 2019, Mamba launched her own party concept, Mo Mamba, sharing the decks with artists who inspire her including Mina, Bambii, Jubilee, Conducta, Ahadadream, DTM Funk, Le Motel and more.

The second season of Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce club series has featured releases from The Busy Twist, quest?onmarq & Neana and AARRT. The series was initially launched in 2020 as a way for Jamz to champion exciting global dancefloor sounds.
